Occupation, 1952-1967, Pennsylvania. High School teacher (chemistry, math, earth science) at Littlestown Area High School, Littlestown, Adams County, Pennsylvania, and Milton S. Hershey High School, Hershey, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.

Military Service: U.S. Army's 65th Armored Infantry Battalion, 20th Division, 30 Nov 1942-3 Feb 1946. 6 7 He was a Radio Operator after completing 14 weeks of Radio School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was in central Europe between 18 February 1945, and 28 July 1945, during the closing months of World War II. Had the war with Japan continued, the Division was expected to head to the Pacific Theatre. He was decorated with a Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Service Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal, each with 1 Bronze Star, and a Victory Medal.
